A welcome return to print for this popular guide to the caterpillars of the British butterflies and macro-moths, and the only comprehensive guide to such. All the larvae of species resident in the British Isles are illustrated photographically, and many of the rare immigrants, barring some of the more recent additions to the British list. This is a reprint of the original 1997 edition, published by Viking, and has not been updated. It remains the only work of its kind, however, and a much needed volume for anyone interested in the larval stages.
Text includes descriptions of the larva, details of foodplant and lifecycle.
